Yooooo! Wuddup fam.

The wiser I’m beoming (as a creative in my 30’s) the more I’m realizing…

We don’t need better conditions to create.

We need a better climate.

And I don’t mean climate the way we usually think about it…

I mean something closer to geoengineering.

Now when people hear that word, it sounds wild.

Like controlling the weather?
Cloud seeding?
Shifting rain patterns?
Trying to influence something that feels bigger than you?

And whether you believe in all that or not… that’s not even really the point fam.

What stuck with me… is the idea of it.

I actually ended up writing a song about this without even realizing it at first.

It’s called “GEO-ENGINURRIN” off my album Beach Knight.

It came out of a feeling more than a concept… and when I finally released it, I realized I wasn’t just talking about the world around me…I was talking about what was happening inside of me.

What if you could do that internally?

Not control everything happening around you…

but learn how to shift your internal environment
so you’re not constantly reacting to whatever shows up?

Cuz if I’m being honest…

a lot of us aren’t stuck.

We’re just waiting.

Waiting on the right mood.
Waiting to feel inspired.
Waiting for life to calm down enough
for us to finally show up fully.

And all that waiting?

It’ll have you sitting still way longer
than life is actually holding you back.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately…

just growing up in the Midwest. St. Louis.

One day it’s warm.
Next day it’s freezing.
Rain out of nowhere.
Snow when you thought it was over.

Unpredictable.

But nobody from here moves surprised.

You don’t wake up and say,
“I can’t go outside today because the weather ain’t perfect.”

Nah yo.

You grab a jacket.
You layer up.
You adjust.

You go anyway.

And somewhere along the way…

we stopped applying that same mindset to our creativity.

So if there’s anything to take from this…

Stop waiting on better conditions.

Stop trying to time your creativity around a life that’s always shifting anyway.

You don’t need everything to feel right to begin.

You just need to decide what kind of climate you’re creating from.

Because the truth is…

you can’t control the weather.

But you can always choose how you show up in it.

So bring your own sunshine.

Adjust your internal climate.

And create from there.
