Yoooo! Peace fam.
I just heard a true story about a dope creative who is a brilliant chef and spent months completely locked into the high of pre-production for a new pop-up dining experience.
She was perfecting the recipes, sourcing rare ingredients, and getting totally wrapped up in the magic of making something out of nothing.
The test-kitchen phase was pure fireworks…just absolute creative synergy.
But the moment the menu was finalized, she realized she had spent 99% of her energy on the big event and planned absolutely nothing for what came after.
She was so completely depleted that she just quietly posted a single story on Instagram at midnight, left a generic caption, and watched the seats go unfilled.
I instantly resonated.
I see it happen all the time with dope creators across so many different mediums, like a graphic designer who builds an incredible visual identity for a passion project but is too tapped out to actually pitch it to clients.
We fall in love with the production phase because that is where the magic lives, but we treat our energy like an infinite well.
We pour all our water into the dirt while planting the seed, leaving zero velocity to water the harvest when it actually breaks through the ground.
That is exactly what we are breaking down in Season 2, Episode 10 of The Gold Giraffe Audio Notes.
We are getting into a lesson called “Spreading the Frequency,” looking at the actual physics of creative distribution and how to stop running out of gas right at the finish line.
True distribution isn’t about forcing yourself to do a million different things or playing a corporate character…
It is about finding your single anchor, keeping your focus sharp, and saving some power for the porch!
This hits heavy for me right now because I just wrapped up my 25-day creative arts fast.
Mannnnn, it was rough, but we made it through!
Taking that hard pause to reorganize my lifestyle was a challenge, but looking back from the other side of July 3rd, I feel completely transformed.
I am back to creating, but with more clarity and intention than ever before.
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone who locked in and followed that journal journey with me on the Substack.
If you are tired of watching great concepts run out of gas before the finish line, pull up a chair, slide into your space, and let’s get into it.
